Pediatric Dentistry
Pediatric general dentistry is a branch of dental care dedicated to children. It includes preventive care, early diagnosis, and treatment of dental issues, all tailored to meet the needs of young patients.
Our goal is to help children build healthy habits early, setting the foundation for a lifetime of confident smiles.
Routine Checkups & Cleanings
A routine dental checkup and cleaning is one of the most important ways to keep your child’s smile healthy. These visits are simple, gentle, and designed to prevent problems before they start.
-
During a checkup, the dentist will carefully examine your child’s teeth, gums, and mouth to make sure everything is developing properly. Sometimes, X-rays may be taken to see areas that aren’t visible to the eye, especially between teeth.
-
A dental cleaning helps remove plaque and tartar buildup that regular brushing can miss.
Limited Dental Exam
Unlike a regular checkup, which looks at the overall health of the entire mouth, a limited exam is problem-focused and typically shorter. It’s designed to address immediate concerns quickly and effectively.

After identifying the problem, the dentist will:
-
Recommend the appropriate treatment (such as a filling, medication, or further care)
-
Discuss options with you
-
Help relieve pain or discomfort as quickly as possible
Oral Sedation
Oral sedation is a safe and effective method used to help children feel very calm, relaxed, and comfortable during dental treatment. The medication is given orally at the beginning of the appointment, dosage depending on your child’s age and needs. The medication is absorbed through the digestive system and begins to take effect within a short period of time.
