You can bring a comfort item for your child (such as a favorite blanket or toy).
-
How should we prepare at home?
Talk to your child in a calm, reassuring way. Let them know the doctors are there to help keep their teeth healthy. Plan ahead for a quiet, easy day after the procedure with no activities scheduled, so your child can rest and recover comfortably at home.
Do I need a designated driver?
A designated driver is not required, as your child will be discharged into the care of a parent or legal guardian. However, we strongly recommend having another adult available to assist, especially if you are traveling from out of town. This can be helpful while your child is recovering from anesthesia and may still be sleepy or need extra attention.
